Being an artist is fun!

Tonight, Jen, Tom and I went to Lawrence to put up flyers for Anomaly Orange's next improv show. Being an artist on a smaller scale is a funny thing....You do your own press and box office stuff, design and distribute your own handbills, and when it's show time, you set up and take down your own chairs, sometimes chairs you paid out of pocket to rent! The good news is if you play your cards (and handbills) correctly, you come out ahead of the game most of the time, and build up a troupe nest egg for those evenings when most people would really just rather see what reruns are on. (Srsly? Lame.) We had a pretty good time, despite the rain and whatnot. Jen and I goofed around with lipstick and she got the two of us matching candy skull rings at Target. (I only broke two molars on it!) We also took some goofy pictures of us making faces and one of me sitting on one of those 25 cent horse rides you see in supermarkets. Lucky you, you get to see one of the tableful of flyers we visited!
